Commissioned Artwork

Have you ever dreamed about having a piece of art that was made just for you or a loved one? Your story matters and I believe that telling your story through art is a beautiful and powerful thing. In the commission process, we will work together to bring your story and vision to life. I can't wait to get started with you! Here's an overview of what you can expect.

Dreaming Phase

This is the part where your vision comes to life. You get to share what you’re dreaming of—whether that’s a crystal-clear idea with inspiration photos, a Pinterest board full of sparks, or just a feeling you want captured on canvas. Some people know exactly what they want, while others lean on me to help shape and refine their ideas. Wherever you’re starting from, I can’t wait to hear your story and collaborate with you. This is my favorite step because I get to listen to your vision and together we’ll turn it into art that feels truly personal.

Choose Your Color Palette

Color is such a big part of telling your story. Share the colors that inspire you—and just as importantly, the ones you’d rather avoid. From there, I’ll create a few palette options for you to review, and together we’ll refine them until your custom color story feels just right.

Sketching the Vision

After we’ve talked and imagined your vision, I’ll put pencil to paper and sketch out what we’ve been dreaming up together. This step is where your ideas start to take shape, giving us a first glimpse of how it all comes together. From here, we can make adjustments, refine the details, and be sure the artwork is unfolding in a direction that feels just right for you.

Sneak Peek

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at how your painting is coming to life. It’s a chance to see your vision unfold and to feel confident that everything is taking shape just as you imagined. This step always brings a spark of excitement—your custom artwork is almost complete!

The Final Piece

At the very end of our journey together, your finished artwork is carefully packaged and delivered with so much love and attention. My hope is that when you unwrap it, you feel the same joy and meaning that went into creating it. This is the moment your vision becomes a lasting piece you can treasure for years to come.

What Clients Are Saying

Custom art and entrusting your story to someone is a big deal. Check out what others are saying about their commission process and experience.

Alexis did a custom piece for my little one's nursery. It was so special to design this together. I pray each day that William will grow to know the love of Christ and be filled with all the fullness of God. This is a prayer that is special to me and I can't wait to hang it above his crib.

- Lauren T.

We were renovating our bathroom, and my goal was to create a space that would help set the tone for each day. With a verse in mind that I wanted to use, I came to Alexis with an idea, and she helped bring it to life, offering insight and ideas that really helped pull the piece together! I so appreciated her attention to detail and working hard to create artwork that flowed into the space. Alexis is incredibly talented, and we are lucky to get to see her art every day!
